Anyone know how to get a pair of 604 cones

Hi guys,
I'm the proud owner of a pair of very nice 604B speakers.
The sound of the speakers is perfect, no problem at all, but the cones are maybe 50 years old and not in perfect condition anymore.
So it should be nice to find some original cones.
I never believed that these speakers could sound so very nice, wonderful!!

I will try to post some pictures, must find out how to fix that. -:)

IF GPA doesn't have them you have to have a look on ebay and cross your fingers.

Are those the original hand soldered true multicell horns?

No, GPA doesn't have thesel cones.
I do not know exactly what you mean with 'hand soldered true multicell horns'.

OK, thanks for the response, I thought I read somewhere recently about some hand soldered (made from sheet metal noe bakelite) true multicells (not sectorals) in the original 604. I wonder of they were actually in the original 15" field coil 601? Sorry for the OT.

I thought the same thing Cal, the horn looks a bit bigger than the latter plastic/bakelite ones.And I think It was Steve Schell that was talking about the 601 field coil as you have noted with the handmade Multicells.;)

To the original poster i just saw a pair of Altec's on eBay recently that the seller had his speakers reconed with those same cones.If I can locate that I will send you the link and maybe the seller can point you in the right direction on where he located those cones. :)

Sometimes luck comes very fast, within 2 weeks after my post on this forum, I'm ready with my search expedition.
Accidental a recone company, which I know well, had 2 very old NOS 604 cones in stock.
In the 1970's he ordered a lot of cones from the Altec Lansing corp. and he had these 2 cones still in stock.
