haha the irony me doing a Darren post now we are no longer affiliated with anyone

anyhoooo I was wondering what every one though of Clay Aiken and him doing When You Say You Love Me??? I heard it and its soo bizzarre when you been listening to Darren sing it and then someone else is singing this song.

I dont hate Clays version and I would even possibly like it more if DH hadnt done it first. Because for all I say about Darren when you hear someone sing one of his songs you realise how GREAT a voice Darren has he injects a real warmth into songs that others just dont get. But not a bad effort by Clay and possibly some good exposure for Darren being associated with Clay and this song.

I agree with you that Darren injects so much more warmth in to the song than Clay has. There is so much more emotion in Darren's voice (possibly because the lyrics mean more to him than they do to Clay, and thats reflected in the way he sings it??) Anyway, basically I agree with you, Clays version isnt altogether bad - Darren's is just better, imo! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I haven't heard either version Kat.

I haven't heard the Clay Aiken version but I just can't imagine anyone else singing this song cos it's just so Darrenish. I agree with Kat and Jen though about the warmth that he injects into his songs and the emotion he projects. As Jen said probably because he wrote the song so obviously it means something to him personally [img]smile.gif[/img]
