Kinda ironic it's in Big Stone.
Call it ironic if you like, late would be a better term. Powell Valley is the largest school in the county and should have a school on this end of the county, renamed of course. There will be a large amount of stundents lost to neighboring schools if this goes thru.
Maybe Lee high has better food?:D
Where was BSG years ago when all this started? They were fine with it as long as they kept their school open. Let's throw Appy under the bus to keep our school. Now they want Appy to stand by them to save PVHS. All I have to say is doesn't feel good does it?
Well, unlike you, some of the folks in Appy understand that Appalachia is closing no matter what. And realize that a 2-on-1 is moronic at best and that they suffer even more with that plan.
Where was BSG years ago when all this started? Praying the 3-on-3 would go through so BOTH communities of Appy and BSG would gain from the plan. Are you too simple minded to understand that? Do you not get, as bad as I hate to say this, that Appalachia is turning into a ghost town and the school is closing regardless.
Hey, I stand to lose from Appy losing its school too. In the long run, I may be out of a job because of it. But I have enough sense to see that its gonna happen regardless, so why punish EVERYONE.
Cry me a river !!!!! Why should APPY get punished? All the other towns have sucked the money out of Appy from the coal tax. Build the school in Wise I don't care!!!!! BSG needs to understand their school is closing like it or not!!! No one Appy wants the school to be built in BSG, why do you think we are fighting this? I do believe BSG was against the 3 on 3 because it was going to be built in Norton and they didn't want their kids driving on the 4 lane in the fog or snow.
**** those Appalachia people, Batman.:D Foiled again. Don't they understand we NEED a school in BSG no matter what happens? I hate to see the kids come out short, but some of this is getting funnier as time goes on.
This is one of the most comical posts I have seen lately.
1. It's very funny and ironic that you say "BSG needs to understand their school is closing." We were trying to get most Appy folks to face the fact that their days as Bulldawgs were numbered. BSG folks accepted the fact that PV was going to come to an end years ago. What are you smoking?
2. No one in Appy wants the school to be built in BSG? Of course not! Because they're too stubborn to even go to school with PV people because they're stuck on a rivalry that PV has dominated the past 10 or so years.
BSG against the 3 on 3 plan? What are you on dude? The same stuff that Jim Morrison was on?
Little contradiction there ,huh dude. Part one -even if the BSG group was for closing Appy, the ones that don't want to give up a school are just making themselves heard.
And part two - not as many as you think ever considered giving up a BSG school. They just didn't have as much to b1tch about, till now and it seems as if the schools are going to be in Wise or Norton. I'm glad we are going to get new schools, no matter where (if it ever happens), cause we need to improve our schools (unless you are still stuck on the sports issue.):D
