I don't follow the sport much at all so I will ask you. How ridiculous is it going to be next year when Grundy is single A? Should the VHSL just hand them the state title when school starts?

I see RC scored 17.50. Not knowing anything about scoring, where did Bartee place and what weight is he at this year?

Caleb was 4th at 140 & was the only Rye kid here. He got pinned this morning in the semis by a Northside guy that got teched by us in the finals, then lost 7-3 for 3rd to a kid from AAA Franklin Co. that get teched by us in the semis.

I don't think we'll run away with A. I've seen some pretty good kids in A at Salem over the years. But I never get to see many of them against us, so it's really hard to make a guess. Thing about A is most Regions are fairly unbalanced in power, so if Nandua has a good team, or Mathews, you expect at least 10 guys to be at state getting points. Region C is the "toughest", with Radford, Galax & Glenvar all having strong programs, it's hard for any of them to get 10 in. I don't see Grundy taking less than 10 for a while... I'm surprised we have someone at all 14 weights this year.

It'll be like the old days for Grundy fans... we'll have 3/4's of the state rooting against us again... it'll be fun!

Last yr to Win a Double a title. I would like to see them get one more. Wasnt it a grundy guy that got threw into the scoreboard and took it out? Looks like coeburn did well team wise. That Lomax kid form PV should do pretty well at state. I think he was a 160 last yr tho.

Curious how the Dean kid from J.I. Burton did at the tournament. I believe his brother wrestled as well. Any idea how they finished?

Colby lost in the quarters to Toler.
