Footage of a lorry apparently pushing a car sideways along a motorway in Yorkshire, UK.
This footage, posted on YouTube, shows the truck travelling along the A1(M) near Wetherby with the Clio trapped under its front bumper.
The scene was filmed on a mobile phone by another motorist. At one point someone shouts: "He hasn't seen it."
The owners of the lorry, Cheshire-based Arclid Transport, and West Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident.
A spokesman from the company said: "There was an incident between a car and one of our vehicles in January.
"Since seeing the footage from YouTube we are investigating."
He added that he believed the female driver of the Clio had not been injured in the incident.
The company said the lorry driver was sent home on Wednesday, when the video emerged on the internet.
He added that the accident happened on 13 January and police had investigated, but to date no action had been taken against the lorry driver.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were aware of the footage but had no further details at present.
That almost happened to my family. While waiting for approaching traffic to pass and turn right onto a 4 lane highway, a semi stopped right behind me, forgot I was in front of him, and not being able to see me, slowly pulled forwards, getting ready to cross the intersection, and shoving my car out into the oncoming traffic. I tried to go forward and turn right onto the shoulder, but my trailer hitch was caught under his front bumper and the car stalled. Luckily, the approaching cars saw what was going on as I was pushed out into traffic and they stopped on the highway. I finally restarted the car, floored it while dropping the clutch, and got far enough in front of him that he could finally see me. My two year old daughter was in her car seat in the back seat, and for over a year, was always looking over her shoulder when she rode in the car.

I'd wager the extra large thumbnail on Youtube's front page helped those numbers along.Quote:

What is wrong with the drivers witnessing this, you would think they would pass the truck and then hit the emergency lights and slow the truck down or at least pull aside the truck and flag him to stop....
