It sure has Ashly features/details. But, it's not like any amplifier Ashly sold as their own that i'm familiar with.
The input card, construction style, handles, and mosfet topology are all characteristic of Ashly, and even tho the pics are a bit dark i get an Ashly "feel" from them.
Ashly is a fairly small and consumer friendly company, i wonder if they'd respond to an email inquiry on the topic.
It's an Ashly made for Altec Pro not Altec. There IS a difference....
Yes, Altec Pro distributed a couple of power amplifiers (4200A & 6125A), a mixer, and a digital processor made by Ashly. Ashly is a professional sound company, not consumer. They were heavy into concert sound at one time. They have expanded more into installed sound and most of their products are built in Webster, NY (including the four units built for Altec Pro).
Ashly makes high quality gear. Refreshing to have this level of audio gear still being manufactured right here in the U.S. They are located about 15 minutes from my house. I have a friend who has worked there for about 15 years and have gotten some great deals on Ashly gear from him--not to mention he's done some repair work for me on other gear I used to own as well.......Quote:

They used to service anything they've ever made for 50 bucks plus parts and return shipping.
I still own my first Ashly, an FET200 s/n 028. They made about 8 or 10 products at the time. also have owned and used their active crossovers, compressor/limiters, parametric EQ, and instrument preamp. There's a stack of FET's currently in my basement system.
I have always liked the presentation of the Ashly mosfets, and having owned many amplifiers from many makers, here in my stable the Ashlys play 2nd fiddle only to the Krell FPB.
