I have a mismatched set of A-7's that I'm working on (an 825 and an 828). My goal is to get the speakers to look (and hopefully sound) the same. I understand the LF horn in the 825 is tuned for an 803A woofer. Would there be a noticeable difference in sound if I used a 416A in its place?
The 416A for all intents and purposes an 803B.
A little more bottom. the 803A is from when power was expensive, and tried to get every dB out of a watt. By the time of the 803b/416A power was cheaper and wider response was desired. Not that the second model has more highs, just a few more lows.
Yep. 416 works just fine. That's what I have in mine.
