OT- Picked these up for $100 today.

It's the same ol story you've heard 1000 times, I was sitting at a friends house with some people and I kinda know this guy and I know he does electronics for a living. So I asked him if he'd be able to look at my Harmon Kardon and he said he's got to many things to work on it as it is. Then he says I got a pair of Voice of the theater speakers if your interested, I paid 200 bucks way back for them but I'd let you have them for $100. I was like... yeah I'd be interested in them for that price.

So we cruise over to his house and he points at these two huge cabinets on his front porch and tells me He's kinda glad I'm taking them because he's sick and tired of storing them and hauling them out to his annual yard sale. and these are what they were.

Those are Ev SP 15's? not sure if I got a deal because I've never heard of them, they got some weird L Pad thingy sticking out of them. just one tiny hole in the cloth surround on one of them. I extracted both and moved the cabinets out to the cat shed because they stunk like cat pee.

So did I do good or not?

Should there be an embedded pic? (If not, don't understand the connection to the SP 15's)

+ 1 Yes there were pics. I seen them yesterday or the day before, they were there then.

I pulled the pics for more room to post pics on my 604 cabinet thread, Also I think it was Blasphemy that I would ever post a picture of an EV on here. :D I'm pretty sure I'm gonna dump them anyways they don't appear to have much value although they sure look impressive. Hopefully I get my money back out of them.

But how do they sound ? Have you had a chance to listen to them ? You should use a Photo site like photo bucket you won't ever have to make room again ! Plus the pictures don't get re-sized like they do when you use attachments here.

Don't you have a couple of empty cabinets sitting there?

I have the cabs that they came in plus I'm gonna have some heathkits sitting here pretty soon. I think the cabs they came in might actually be ev cabs but I couldn't locate an identical set anywhere but they do look professionally constructed. Big too.

depends on whether these are functional or not.


i got some SP12's that work well ...

I haven't tried to fire them up yet, maybe someday I'll hook them up just to see if they work.
