anyways... this is about binx....
she is a bit over a year old... not spayed...
never had any offspring....
however, i have recently *adopted* two
kittens... and after a few days of head
bopping and hissing, binx accepted them.
problem is... she REALLY accepted them.
she has basically become a surrogate mother.
the kittens are weaned... in the sense that
they eat regular food (hard and soft)...
but recently they've been suckling on binx [img]eek.gif[/img]
at first i assumed that this was just because
they were small and it was a comforting
habit... even just some bonding thing, i dunno.
i figured it would stop when the kittens
realized they weren't getting anything...
or when binx got fed up with the sucking.
but its continuing!!!
binx even welcomes it... she encourages it...
she circles the kittens and mews... and they
dogpile her and begin sucking.
this is frikken weird.
so ummm er..... can cats generate milk???
even without bearing the young?
Since the wife works at the Vet Center I am sure I could find out. BUT I think I will walk away from this one.... LOL before I get my foot stuck in my mouth. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

omg..my kitten does that to my dog..which tango is a manly kinda dog..so he gets very offended by this..*LOL*
and i adore corgi's too..they are extremely smart dogs..i have a freind that raises them..but im a big dog kinda gal..so i never got one..but one day.. [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] i just might!
