808-B is identical to 802G except for fram.
Thanks OG. I wont make that mistake again!
NP-just to make the picture complete the 808 is Symbiotik PA use and 802 is aluminum Hi-Fi.
Looks like the oddball 806 tangerine drivers with the lighweight frams. Same as came in the 9849 monitirs in some cases. I have a pair. you can just make out the part number on the rear cover of one of them.
With a non stock fram, I don't think it's that great of a deal.
Those are 808/802, at least to my eyes, the 806 has a shorter mag, Spec sheet says 808-B which is prolly where seller got his info.

there's something funky about that camera angle or lens, makes the driver "look" short for an 802. The measurement takes all the guessing away however. The assembled 802-8g here on my desk measures just a whisker under 4 inches in length, same as the one in the auction pic. The pic does not give a real sense of the length to diameter aspect which is almost square.
I have that exact setup from 1231 wedges.
The driver is 808-8B in mine. Tangerine 802 bodies with symbiotiks.
Factor in $200 for new diaphragms and it ain't all that cheap-- unless, like me, you wanted to try the plastic 32s.
I need one of those drivers or bodies if any are floating around.
Finally opened up the back of my sort of A8 clones, I can't get the rear cover off of the compression driver without removing the horn as a 2x4 is in the way and I can't get any torque on the screws with a short screw driver. But, the aluminum 32B's are attached to a 3 1/2" total depth machined (I think) driver. The black part measures 3 3/16" and there is a tag that says the diaphram was replace in '05 with an 808 8A diaphram, #26420. If they are symbiotec I like 'em because, I am a bass and treble junkie, and too much midrange is not to my liking. I have a 3" piezo super tweeter (soon to be two) filling out the top end and I need the power handling capacity of the symbiotecs because I have the EQ cranked up all of the way for the bottom and top (can you hook up two EQ's and double the boost?). Any thoughts or comments? :)
