9844A What do you think???
These are new on Ebay and in Texas (my state). It appears one of the drivers is wrong but everything else is correct ??? What do you guys think would be a realistic price for these in their current condition??? What would the correct single driver cost??? I really wanted the 9844-8B's but this may be as close as i'll ever get. Advice and opinions please...VINTAGE ALTEC LANSING 9844A MONITORS | eBay (did I do this link correctly???)

Link works perfectly.
If the woofers are all good, they're worth the asking price alone. I think the price would be fair if the other 806 were there, but you're probably looking at 100 bucks or more to replace that, so i'd want that hundy knocked off the price.
I'd be torn as to which driver to seek a mate for. The 806 is "right", but the Renkus has a bit of HF edge and a big power handling edge.
My experience with 9844's has left me with the idea that if money were no object, i'd visit building my own with all new GPA components and a network similar to that of the model 19.

I don’t like 806’s that much anyway. If they were mine I would be looking to swap to 802s. So in this case I would be happy to take the discount for the bastard driver.

And I thought that we could be freinds... If I remember right, I have cyborg 806's in my Frankenstein
A8's. I like 'em. No shrill mids, great power handeling, when I get carried away, I don't have to replace any fuses, or diaphrams, or voice coils. And anyways,,, I have a gaggle of piezos for the highs, but I digress...:)
