The reference color standard is a heated metal bar. At 3200 degrees it's red hot, higher temps it is white hot. Most home lighting is lower temp.
I'm somewhat familair with that. I've typically don't have white objects turning pink, Though. I don't think my lights are all that high temperature........ I admit, I've never referenced halogen's temperature, just flourescents. The garage has 5xxx K bulbs, but the lights downstairs are lower.Quote:

You find that a lot with camera lenses...In person will look white but with photos especially if a flash was used can look pink... IMHO & experience
