Altec goop source! Can it be?
Saw "tacky surrround dampener" on ebay from Springfield Speaker Repair, so I wrote the owner for more info and he assures me that it is the original solvent-based vinyl acetate Altec goop.

Do they? I thought it was reported here that GPA said it was no longer in production.
