Nice but I'll stick with what I have.
Is it me or are those things ugly...everytime it seems that someone does a build with Altecs involved, for sale to the public, the results are not pleasing to the eye.. I bet they sound pretty good though, I would love to hear Altecs in a MLTL cab that was designed properly... one of these days....

I really like some of Wardwebs gear, right now I am trying to acquire the horns he uses in his basement system... Just have to find some bass bins to place them on, the are 40" wide by 26" high.. I just need a little luck..Quote:

Hmm, the point I was trying to make is that relative to the other manufacturer's rooms regardless of equipment/price, the ancient Altec based system kept the room 'packed'. Otherwise, I agree, looks/design wise these are an embarrassment compared to some of Altec's consumer offerings and especially some of the DIYer's efforts.

Audio component voyeurs mostly. Relatively few can afford many of what's being displayed. Don't know if there's still any left here in Hotlanta, but there are/were audio salons that didn't/don't let just anybody make an appointment for an audition and of course those in rural areas with no easy access.Quote:
