IMHO its probably toast. Look at all the corrosion on the rim, the screws, the paint, the throat. Many pics, none under the rear cover.
My feeling is it has gotten wet.

No way to know without seeing/feeling inside and closely inspecting the gap.

I've seen a LOT worse looking drivers than that that were either just fine internally or cleaned up very easily.

Just the rear cover and foilcal are worth half the asking price.

Agreed Bowtie, have seen many worse that were fine.

Actually the cover/foilcal statement triggers my paranoia. Sounds like he is trying to justify selling crap. I would insist on inside pics.
