Read the description--this could be a deal for the right buyer (especially if you're a drummer who also wants some Altec cabinets, drivers, etc.--or flip the drums and get free Altec gear). I know we've got members in the NYC/New Jersey/Philly area (I'm only 5-6 hours away myself). If anyone here checks this out and/or buys this lot, please take/post pics and details....

That's the same guy that had the 604s for sale a while ago. Very hard to deal with. You have to go there, cash in hand, and shop.
This auction is supposedly for the whole lot--everything in the photos and description of his listing for one total price (highest bidder). But if he's hard to deal with he could find ways to make that difficult! ;)
But it doesn't say "everything in the photos". It just implies it. Look at what he describes. Do you really have any idea of what you would be getting? Like what's an "ALREC 604-88k driver" in box or not?
Yeah, I agree. His description is barely intelligible. Either English isn't his first language or he's somewhat illiterate or he's purposely being unclear as to what you'll be getting to take advantage of buyers. This lot is kind of like the TV show "Storage Wars". You really don't know what you're getting until you get there and start to dig through it all. May not be worth the gamble unless you get it with a low bid and want the drums (or want to sell the drums to get the rest of the stuff free). I just looked through his feedback and he's been selling a lot of his audio gear including some Altecs. This auction "lot" may be all the stuff he couldn't sell/no one else wanted. If I lived near by I'd ask him if I could come and look at the lot before I bid--could be some nice finds there at the right price. BTW, you haven't heard of Alrec drivers? ;)Quote:
