Pa pa pleeeeeeeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm mildly offended: Vintage Altec Speakers 2 Full 2 Mid High 12" and 4 5 Tube Efficient 1964 | eBay
EIA code and general appearance including the basket shape indicates Oxford as the manufacturer.
In fairness, a speaker company by the name of "AZTEC" sourced many OEM driver from Oxford. Seller may have mixed up the names Altec and Aztec, wouldn't be the first time i've seen that.
Re: Pa pa pleeeeeeeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Pa pa pleeeeeeeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seller just added this to his description--nice job Bowtie....
I have these marked as Altec form research done years ago, however I just received this email. I respect the knowledge and wisdom of other ebayers please read below, so Altec was removed from the listing.
"You should know that those are not Altec speakers. They appear to be mfg'd by Oxford who made speakers for a company called Aztec. Maybe that's the confusion. But you should not sell them as Altec"

That guy has been trying to off those for a while....
Re: Pa pa pleeeeeeeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't get it. Someone put some Altec drivers in a decent looking box, and now it's worth $10k? And the "511b Sectoral Horns" look to be 811s, unless that 16" driver is really a 20" driver.

But they have "port technology". And they're in Disneyland. That's gotta be worth at least the $8000 bump.

Some people call them ports, but real speaker engineers call them "blow holes".
