A special treat

what's your favourite holiday? what makes it so special for you...?

My favorite holiday is Christmas. It's so much fun to see the kid's faces light up with excitement when they wake up and see all the presents *Santa* left them under the tree. It's always fun watching them tear open everything and see their reaction when they get something they really wanted. After that's done we all get ready and go to Mom and Dad's for the traditional family dinner. All in all it's usually a pretty good day.

eh.. don't be sorry.. like ya said.. we all got our favourites.. it's cool, tho.. i like how some people describe christmas.. i can tell it means a whole lot to them...

i just think it's become too commercialized.. don't get me wrong, i'm no scrooge.. last year, i took a homeless guy and his girlfriend out for dinner on christmas eve, missing my family dinner, because they had nowhere to go...

but i did like your explanation... family is great around christmas time...

i figured that would be the most popular response... is christmas... it is great, tho.. to see the kids' faces and what not.. everybody is in such a good mood around christmas, and the family's come together... i personally hate it... i spend most of my christmas' in tears, or bitter angry... hahahah to each their own, right?

Yanno as weird as it sounds I'd have to say Easter..

Cuz I love watchin my girls tryin to find the baskets that we've hidden for them and the eggs hidden outside...

*S.. i just believe that everything you do comes back to you tenfold... and .. i know how those people feel... goin to sleep hungry, strivin to keep warm over night... it's not much fun.. and a full stomach and the warmth of a strangers kindess... makes for a good night's sleep.. it's not the first time i've taken homeless people out for dinner.. lol

storm.. i agree.. easter is a good holiday, if you can avoid the candy.. hehehe.. i think after they find the chocolate and what not is the best part... with their full lil tummy's and chocolate covered smiles... now THOSE are chocolate kisses =)

i guess i should answer my own question... my favourite holiday...

halloween... the one day a year where i can dress as i do everyday and nobody looks at me funny *L..

wow, Paige that was a really great thing for you to do. I have to admit I really don't know too many people who would do something like that.

Summer I gotta agree with you on that one too....it's a great time watching the kids hunt all over for their treats. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
