I did a quick search on the board but came up with nothing definitive. There has been much discussion on short ram vs. cold air intakes. For a JR supercharged Honda, I have not seen any dynos to compare. Personally, I have taken my AEM CAI and converted it to a shortie and have felt no difference. I am running 9 psi on my Si and wonder if perhaps it would benefit from a larger throttle body. Isn't this where the major restriction is for intake (after you've sorted out the rest of the intake sysyem)? Any comments on merits of using a bigger dia TB for a JR s/charged car? Anyone got any comparative dyno charts? Thanks.

I don't think it's as critical on forced induction applications.
It sounds like your looking for a project for the Si. There is a couple of charge coolers coming on to the market. Here's the one that caught my eye. This is a response from an email I sent to them. I can email pics to you if you like.
"The target price is $1200. This is if you supply a Manifold.
Tha manifold will have the runners tapered and ported, The intercooler cores will be fitted and the plenum volume is increased and reshaped for additional flow. There is end tanks fitted with -6 AN fittings. The allen bolt pieces are replaced with alluminum bolts which don't protrude into the Manifold.
We will plan to have a 5 day turn around, So far it takes 3 days to do one, We are working on have all the pieces CNC cut which will speed up the process.
I hope to start taking orders in 2-3 weeks.

I talked to John also and he sent me pics of his intercooler. It looks very good and is reasonably priced. He's making some nice #'s out of it on his LS/VTEC, I think 284HP and I forgot the TQ #'s.

Wow, thanks Modaddict. That sounds very interesting. [img]tongue.gif[/img] Yes, I am looking to enhance my JRSC Si. Currently I am toying with the idea of a Hondata first and then maybe, just maybe, a good turbo kit like a Revhard. However, if this IC can enable higher boost on the JRSC then I am well interested. I would prefer to keep my JRSC if I can realize more power efficiently because there is just so much instant grunt. Can you post pics on the board? Otherwise, e-mail me. Thanks.
