went to see velvet Revolver last night at the birmingham NIA and I have to say, having sat on the fence for a while about them, that they fuckin ROCKED,Was a good energetic show no covers in sight till about song 7, no lenghty Slash solos, sorta, and a mixed all ages colorful crowd that loved every minute of it for what it was...a great rock n roll show.

What was the cover? I don't think GnR or STP songs are covers, so if it was one of those, cool.
I am not too fond of the album, but I would bet that they would be killer live.
-
Dont' they cover a Sex Pistols song?..I know they do on the album.
-
yeah sorry mate for saying covers I guess that was the wrong word,I shouldda said songs by their previous bands lol,I recognised one of the STP songs they did but couldnt tell ya the name of it(Never liked the miserable bastards)but they did 3 GnR tracks namely,Its So Easy,Mr Brownstone and the highlight for me, I used to love her, which they did sat on stools with Matt out front with his maracas lol

I was hoping they would do the Pistols song Bodies as it is my fave Pistols track and they do do a good cover of it.
Saw RobinBlack do it as an encore song in 03 and I nearly shit probably the best ever cover of it I`ve heard.

Saw Velvet Revolver in Manchester on Sunday I think the Stone Temple Pilot song they covered was Sex Type Thing or at least that'z what my friend son said it was called.

Hehe, yeah. He was as pissed off as us that the Crowbar was shut. He never did show up at Decadence though. Probably just as well, huh?
