ok i have a 89 civic hatch now...but for some reason it doesnt have door mounted seatbelts...i know 88 didnt, but my 89 crx had door mounted...did civics not get it till 90?

exactly...89 up crx's and 90 up civics have the door-mounted belts. I recently found this out as well...

the canadien Civic/CRX do not have door mounted seat belts for ANY year.

i purposly bought an '89 because i had owned 2 90's previously. my friends ALWAYS got the belt stuck in the door. it drove me nuts to see the splits in the door panels. not a problem in the '89 http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
