I'm using these temporary xovers with 288 drivers on 8005 horns, run by Leak Stereo 20 amp.
What is the xover...? (says "AE 235")
They sound wonderful...though very bright. Was this because of the requirement in a theatre?

I've had a number of pairs of these, I think they were common here in Oz when the Altec N500x weren't used.
AFAIK they are WE, or likely Westrex.
The 'brightness' is partially their response for a speaker designed 60 years ago, and partially to help 'punch' through the perforated screen.
OK, thanks guys. Too bright for moderate sized lounge room.
