i just spent a fucking HOUR with a coke can FROM HELL!!!!!!
ok... here's the short version ---
wanted a cold one... so i popped one in the
freezer... cuz yanno... slushie coke is
fuckin AWESOME (non-gas station version).
butta.... i had kinda forgotten about it...
BUT THATS OK!!!! cuz when i remembered it,
it had just settled into that soft slush.
um... butta.... not the kinda soft slush
that just oozes from the can in a purely
sweet, slushie delight....
FUCK NO!!!!!
i had remembered the can just after the nice
slush (as described above) had kinda hardened
into a 'packed snow' kinda slush.... not quite
yet a hard ice cube.
so i opened it... and it spewed bubbly cold
soda all over the place.....
but thats just for starters....
i hadn't known about the packed snow yet...
so it finally stops spurting and i try to
pour it... and NOTHING CAME OUT! then the
reality of the situation sank in... and i
figured i'd just give it a few minutes to
warm up and i thought it would slush out...
nope.
it was at this moment that i cursed the friggin
coke bottlers for not considering such a
situation thoroughly... because if the can
came equipped with a perfect top, you could
sorta siphon the coke out. but no, the can
has that rim... making it impossible to
siphon (and no, i'm not going to mouth the
entire top of the can).
so there was my dilemma....
fortunately current coke cans are made of
someting akin to metalic paper... as i just
carved that damn can with my keys (tee hee)
and cracked it like an egg into a glass.

You could have defrosted it just a little bit by tossing the can in a microwave for 15 seconds.
(Before I hear anything about this; metal is alright in Microwave ovens, SO LONG AS THE METAL DOESN'T TOUCH THE WALLS WHILE THE CAROUSEL ROTATES. It gives a nice lightshow, but metal doesn't damage/destroy microwave ovens as easily as many people believe.)
-
Yeah, it does make a great light show, but if it doesn't brush against the walls of the microwave, metal isn't damaging to the ovens.
And she DOESN'T HAVE a microwave?!? What's she, living in the dark ages? http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

lol...yeah... i don't have a microwave.
i cook everything per stove/oven
weird, eh?

alison doesnt have a microwave.
and about the metal thing in a microwave....
when i was a kid i once put a toy monster truck (it was Bigfoot!) in the microwave.
It looked similar to this....

with the monster truck in the center.
It scared the shit out of me so I immediately hit the stop button.
never again have i put any metal in a microwave.

*makes note: Get the women a microwave....*
-
i did think about investing in one of those smaller
ones... but only because i could use it for little
things. i just don't want to get accustomed to
microwavable things. i dislike them and i know
i'm lazy enough to fall for it.
so yeah... one of those microwaves about the size
of a shoe box would be great.... if i have to http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
