my zc is running a code 9 which is #1 cylinder position. what does that mean. i checked my timing and it was perfect. what could be wrong

welcome to my world buddy..ive had that problem ever since i put my zc in and nobodys been able to give me a straight answer.

It means the TDC sensor is shot. Its inside the distributer and you can't get a replacement one for it so you will have to replace the whole distribruter. 88-89 teg one will work just fine.

Sounds like you need a new distributer to me. I think thats the code I had a while back and when I got a new dist it fixed the problem

i think i am going to get a new distributer too. where did you all get yours. did you get a 88-89 teg. one and how much was it.
