i have a 88 dx,,,it does this thing like it doesnt want to start sometimes,,,let me tell u a example,,,one day i drove to my dads house,,,,i knocked on his door,,he wasnt home,,so i went back out to my car,,cranked it and it wouldnt start,,just cranked and cranked,,,i wait like 5 min,,crank it and it starts up right away,,,it only has done that sometimes like if i try to start it right after i turn it off or within a few min of turnin it off,,,im thinkin it is the fuel pump,,what do you guys think? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

by the way,,i changed the fuel filter about 2 months ago,,and it has been doin it before i changed it,

i just had the same problem...and i found the answere her on the board.
it is your main relay...
you can get it from the dealer for about
35$
it is located under the left kick panel
and it was labeled main in white letters in mine.
it controls the injectors ...

yeah i had the same problem, i think my dad fixed it without telling me because it doesn't do that anymore. its has to do with fuel injector thingy. anyways try this when it happens again. don't press the clutch all the way and start it, while your cranking fully step on it. my dad told me to do that when it happens.

Hey, same thing happened to me. I had just had my distributor replaced so i know it wasnt that. My mechanic told me it was the main relay. Got it replaced and have never had the problem since. I know it is really annoying!
