Okay, anybody else read it yet?
As a whole, it was a great story. It was very understated, very subtle, very real. I'll say it's one of the best X-Men stories I've read in a long time.
It wasn't just whiz-bang action, and that'll cost it a lot of readers. But for those who can see the point of the story, it's great. What do super powers really count for when faced with real evil?
In a way, it reminds me of Amazing Spiderman 36. Where are the superheroes when real tragedies occur? They can't help. We can only help ourselves.
Thoughts, people?

Me too. Not exactly, of course, but a good ending for the story. It was also, with the situation, the only possible realistic ending.
The interior art has really improved since the first issue. He looks more like Nighty now, and some of the panels were just heartbreaking.
But, yeah, that dude at X-Fan will have a field day.

Definately not your norm COMIC story.
I really liked it. Art, story everything. And without giving anything away. The end was what I thought it would be.
That reviewer at X-Fan is going to blast this one for sure.

So far, I really like it! I was a little worried when Rogue's mini came it (who else here hated it?), but I was impressed with the storyline!
Now, if I could only get the LAST issue ...

i really liked it. ended pretty much as i expected, but that is ok. I liiked that Kurt finally told Father Whitney off when he tried to give anther 'the world sucks, live with it' speeches.
and yeah, the reviewer is totally gonna trash it http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif this mini seems to be one of those love it or hate it, no moddleground things. *sigh*

http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Well said SLARTI! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I agree completely. I thought that this mini was everything i'd hoped for and more. Not to mention ( my Nightcrawler bias notwithstanding of course http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif ) it stood head and shoulders above all of the other Icon minis to date. I was almost dreading the end of it because I knew it would leave me hungry for more of KIPINIAK's Nightcrawler.
CHRIS did TOTAL justice to the character.....well done!
