This may sound kinda weird, but...does anyone have any ideas on how to make a real Nightcrawler costume?
(Please tell me I'm not the only one who's ever wanted to parade around their room in Kurt's costume http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif)

Actually, yes, I've had experience with that. What you need are:
1. An old disposable red long-sleeve shirt
2. A black turtleneck shirt
3. Tight black pants (stretch or spandex)
4. Sponges
5. Blue face Paint
6. Blue material (I used an old T-shirt)
7. Fake pointy ears
8. Fangs (not functionable if you wish to speak, though)
9. White gloves (cheap)
10. A belt
11. A compliant younger brother
DIRECTIONS:
Lay the shirt out flat on the floor and use charcoal or chalk to sketch out the points on the shoulders and point that reaches the belt. Also cut out the neck in a 'V' shape (use a picture of NC for reference) Don't try to cut it all out at once, though - take your time. Take the blue material and cut it into a double-layered devil tail. Sew the two layers together around the edges, then turn it inside-out and stuff it. You can either weight the end with beans so that it swings, or you can put a wire into it. Put the black turtleneck and pants on the brother, and then put on the modified red shirt. Adjust it and then cut the sponge into triangles. Place the sponges under the shoulder points so that they will stick out instead of being soggy. Glue them to the red shoulder points with a glue gun. Keep the red shirt from flopping around by tucking it into the belt. Pin the tail to the right area. Cut the white gloves and sew the appropriate fingers together or, if you cannot find gloves to cut, you can use masking tape to wrap up fingers (but this can be hot and uncomfortable to remove). Put the pointy ears on the brother's ears. Finally, you are ready to paint him. Paint the ears and all the face (be careful around the eyes).
And there you have your living breathing Nightcrawler.

Damn! Except for the compliant little brother part, I might have been able to manage it! Can I use someone else's little brother? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif
And what about the feet?

I remember that Nightcrawler! Heh heh...(and no, I wasn't the compliant younger brother...I was submitted to different bits of costume fun.

Well we just let him wear black boots because he was going to do a lot of walking outside. I suppose if it's that important you could modify white socks...

Oh yeah - I nearly forgot - I used the sleeves of the red shirt to make the wrist and ankle bands too.

When I was at the Sand Diego Comic Con (representing!) I saw this guy dressed as Nightcrawler. It was REALLY good!! I must do it too!!!

WOAH! COOL! Thanks!! I'm gonna start that right now!
Hmmm....I'll just improvise and use 2 annoying little sisters instead of a A compliant younger brother.... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Wait so the compliant little brother was who you put the costume on? I want it on myself! Also I was thinginf of making these shoe crossovers things. Basically it's shoes with fabric on it so it looks like 2 toes and a long heel. Maybe some stuff under so they don't get dirty. I have till July to make it so I better get on it!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Just a little request to anyone who makes an outfit...
Would you mind posting a pic of yourself in the costume? (Please! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif ) It'd be cool to see how they all turn out! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif (And I suppose good for ideas for the rest of us if we ever become as crazy about the idea. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
