Sorry no spoilers just a comment.
I would post on a similar topic to this one, but the focus on that one kinda pulled away from talk about the X-Men Movie. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
Anyway, I have been reading various posts regarding the desire to see the inclusion of NC in the sequel. All I can say is remember the Fantastic Four Movie? The one that was unreleased. (shudder).
Singer has also kinda remarked on the inclusion of NC, when he did an interview for characters he would like to see in a sequel. Gambit, NC and Beast where 3 he mentioned. But in the same interview he said that some characters wouldn't lend themselves well to a movie until technology advances. And for me I think NC falls under this category. Why, well he is one of the most unusual and dynamic looking mutants to ever grace the pages of a Marvel comic. He would be both a visual planning nightmare and great challenge to a Special Effects team. Besides looking authentic and real, he would have to fit into the plot of the story.
Do I want to see NC in the sequel, you betcha! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif. But do I want NC in the sequel if he is horribly represented, a big NO!!!!

I agree with you BC. I rather wait for a convincing and dynamic Nighty, than get a cheesy one right away. Good things come to those who wait. I also think the movie story hasn't reach the point yet where Kurt's story would fit.

Dang, I guess i'm the odd-man out in wanting Kurt in the 1st sequel.
I DO see your point though BC and SG! If he's treated like crap or not done well why have him in the movie to begin with?
Personally, I believe that it IS possible to bring a convincing Kurt to the screen with the technology and special FX currently available. Its just a question of make up/ prosthetics and computer effects for things like his tail and teleportational effect.
Would they commit to the time and money needed for bringing a 'quality' Kurt Wagner into the franchise right now? More than likely not, seeing as how the general consensus is that he's a 'secondary' x-character.
Especially when it's far easier to bring a GAMBIT or de-furred BEAST into the immediate fold.
( Man, after typing that i'm really starting to see where you guys are coming from http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif )
I guess it's a pipe dream hoping that they would give Nightcrawler the priority and importance of say a Wolverine or Rogue.
Hopefully theyll at least throw us a bone and give him some kind of cameo a la Colossus, Jubille and Kitty! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Okay..I've asked this before, in a couple places, but where in the world was Colossus in the first movie? I never saw him, to my knowledge.

As far as I know, he was never in the first one. If he was, where the hell is he?

People say that he was in the montage sequence when Wolvie's being shown around the grounds. When the kid runs across the pond, there's a big kid in the corner of the screen sketching. Also, when the Blackbird/X-Jet/whatever takes off and the kids are all looking out the window, there's a shot of a big, buff kid. It's impossible to tell if the kid with the sketch pad and the kid looking at the Blackbird are the same, but people claim they are, and that it's Colossus.

Yup, that's supposed to be him. I think NC is doable right now, without looking like Jar Jar...*ack* He doesn't need to be a CGI, he just needs a make up job like Mystique had. If you look at the way Mystique moves in the movie, that's the way I imagine Nighty. She's very, ah, limber. She moves like a cat, and that combined with some CGI for his bamfing and tail, would be enough for him to be convincing. Combine her grace with a little humor and I think you've got NC down. If Singer put him in the second movie, I'm sure it would be a quality Nighty because he wouldn't want to lessen the integrity of the rest of the movie. However later, if Singer doesn't continue as the "X-director," and who would want that label forever, the next director may turn it into a fiasco to rival the Corman FF movie or the Bat sequals. Uck.
I say, better Singer Nighty than Shumacher Nighty with x-nipple action.
