Every Time I Know
12/21-12/22/00
Every time I look into your eyes, I feel a little faint.
Every time I laugh with you, it lifts a little weight.
Every time I think of you, I know it's true.
Every time you hold me tight, I feel its due.
I feel truly blessed.
Surely, this is a test?
How could I receive
Such a wondrous reprieve
From my doubts that whisper about?
Do I deserve a gift such as this?
Am I fit for this bliss?
Though I squalor in ways to speak the heart,
I must tell you, from this start,
That I see before my sight,
The washing away of any blight
From this future that now has become right.
As hard as it is for me to say these words that are true,
You must know that every time I wake with you, I know I love you.
