Altec microphones

i bought one of these and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them. and could you tell me a little more about Altec mics.

No experience here. But, specwise it looks like it was aimed directly at the SM58 market.

A little flatter than the 58. Americans liked the 6K presence peak, the 58 has it in droves. So does the Altec, just not as obvious. A weaker singer would prefer a 58.
