ot finally scored a yamaha C-1 (100$)

sounds pretty good. but i should probably upgrade the caps. i like the compact size. my Sansui takes up 3U in my rack. the C1 and the sansui 2101 i have both sound really good. but they both need recapped. but as it stands the Sansui has a slight edge.

Congrats!! For $100 that's the buy of the millennium!

On initial google, it doesn't look too compact to me, but that's one sexy beast regardless. I have a C4 on phono-preamp duty for the time being.

The Sansui 717 series pieces I had were lovely. The TU-717 (?) was a beautiful solid tuner (aesthetically).
