I'm just getting into 8mm filming. And i found a old super 8mm camera and a projector. They are at least 27 years old or more. I need to knoe where to find a bulb for the projector and a battery for the camera. I kind of know how to work it but i don't know where the film. So if anyone has any suggestions or know how to help i would apperciate it.

The camera is an argus/cosina super 8.The projector is an Argus Dualmaster 890z. I need a new bulb for the projector and battery for the camera. <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Courier, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Rigo:

Try taking them both to a camera store that deals in older stuff. Often the bulbs can be replaced without trouble. Same with some batteries. If not,There are shops that deal only with batteries that can find or make something that will work. I had a camcorder battery re-celled long after it was out of stock.

As for the projector bulb, if you open the bulb compartment on the projector, there will be a 3 letter code on the top of the projector bulb. There are a bunch of different bulbs and they each have their own 3 letter code. Once you have this you can call around to places that do home movie transfers to try to find someone who has some of these. But beware, I paid $52 for my bulb (over twice as much as I paid for the projector). Later I found a great site (but I can't remember the URL) http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif and saw the bulb priced at $35.
