I have emailed Mr.Brantley about The Filmmakers Forum and our willingness to set up a new Super-8 Filmmaking forum for him there. I would just like to take the time to demonstrate what this could look like.

The Filmmaekrs Forum is on our personal server so there are no ad's or pop ups. The messageboard also uses Ikonboard software so tehre are many options included. The ability to Delete, pin, edit, move, close topics. The ability to ban members, password protect forums, or allow only members with a certain member group to enter a certain forum. Or for that matter to disallow members who are of a different member group to post.
The color scheme and the banner are of course changable as well. The system also has a personal messager and it will hide your email address from bots looking to spam your email. There is also an option to save your favorite posts.
As far as old posts are concerned. there are two options.
1. A link back to the old forum to be used as an Archive forum.
2. Copy and paste of old messages to teh new forum. This would not include members profiles or post counts. reregistering would be needed.
Anyway the invitation is open and free. Just trying to make TFF the best filmmaking messagebaord around and would love to have you all.

Roxics,
Thanks for your effort. I am not in receipt of your e-mail. Can you send it again to me at [email protected].
I have also been testing a forum setup out at http://pub32.ezboard.com/bmikebrantleyssuper8filmmaking and have asked a handful of members to help me.
However, a number of members have expressed a strong interest in remaining with the Hostboard setup and keep the current message database active. Because of this, I have already indicated to Steven (the Hostboard owner) that I would like to upgrade the service here. He has started work on this, and he and I will test that setup after the weekend. That plan would give me more control, would eliminate the ads and would keep the existing messages, although the URL will change. Seems as though that is the best option and the least disruptive.
However, the offer to join with The Filmmakers Forum has merit, too. But I'd sort of feel bad about telling Steven nevermind after giving him the go ahead to start work. Member thoughts on this subject and what you guys want to do are welcome in this thread.
I will be making some updates to the main Super 8 site this weekend, and I will most definitely be adding a prominent link to TFF.
Thanks.

No problem. I completely understand. We'll be there if you change your mind.
