Question: What would happen if you set-up your engine (combination crank, stepper, and SC pulley) to put out some high amount of overall boost 17-18psi, but then rev limited the engine at say 6500 or 7000 rpm?
So, in other words, at any particularly rpm level the engine would maybe see twice the normal boost pressure maybe producing twice the torque through all your low rpms.
The non-intercooled pressurized air would still produce high heat numbers, but I would think cylinder heat would be down from lower overall rpm, and also engine stress from high rpms would be eliminated as well, as your engine would not go over 6500, or 7000 rpm, (instead of 8000, 8200, 8500).
Would such a thing work, or is it just a stupid idea? (anyway, I was thinking how the vortech sc spikes at the very top of the powerband, whereas this would be making the Jrsc pull hard down low (lower than it normally does), though through a short rpm range)
