Do you actually get any job opportunites in the film industry that exist outside London?
No, not unless you create your own industry.
All the major UK studios I can think of are based in or around London. Most well known facilities houses are based in or around Soho.
However, a friend of mine got a job on Blue Juice a few years back when they posted up vacancies for extras in the local job centre in Devon.
Luck is being prepared for an oppurtunity...
