Typical Idle Vacuum Levels

I own a SOHC D-Series and my idle vaccum is 20in and it's pretty much the same hot or cold.

I also get about 15" when cold and then 18" when warm.

Alititude also plays a roll. Here in denver, my gauge dropped from 20 to 18.

18" cold 20"warm. 12" warm seems awfully low. i would get a vacuum tester to see if your guage is working properly. i believe some auto parts stores rent them out or you can buy them relatively cheap. as lundgren said altitude does play a factor and it seems weather does too.

I'm curious to see what other SOHC D-Series owners are seeing for a vaccum level at idle.

I see around 15in hg cold and 12in hg warm.

Trying to determine if I have a leak somewhere or if my guage is messed up.

Thanks gang. What's weird is that my boost level reads about where I estimate it should be, but the vac is just a little low.

I will definately check the guage with a vac tester.
