Could someone tell me what kind of magic food color you're using, that only takes "a few drops" to make fake blood?
I have been sitting here trying to make fake blood, and ends up using an entire bottle, and still not get a satisfiable result! Yeech!

I have a fantastic blood mixture that not only videos really well, but it actually comes off your skin!
The base is golden syrup. Sometimes you can get pouring syrup, which is best. To 30ml of syrup, you add 6ml of red food colouring, 3ml of yellow and 3ml of camp coffee or a very concentrated solution of instant coffee. Camp coffee is better though because it tends to be darker and thicker. Shake the mix up and you get a good blood for use on bodies!

A got very good results using a bottle of fruit juice with some red food colouring mixed in. If you mix it well, a little food colouring should go a long way - it's pretty strong stuff (and it doesn't wash out too well, so avoid getting it on stuff you don't want stained red).
