ok ok...i don't know how to make your name the link to your forum. i DO know how to put the link under your name, like i have done with mine. i think the two are similar but there is something you add to make ALEX highlighted instead of DISCUSS THIS higlighted.
going with what you were saying about the word 'thank you'...i understand what you are trying to signal, however, is this effective on the internet--where no body language or tonal quality exist (asside from the italic/bold/font color/size change)?

assuming that you have never known whom you may be speaking to online (even in this forum) OR assuming you never meet them...
is it important to get true meaning across in your posts? what difference would it make if what you post is misconstrued?

What an eloquent statement on the importance of feedback!
But I put more credence in communicating on the Internet than in person.
On the Internet, Content can emerge as the number one criteria. Especially if one delineates between "Chat" and "Forum".
Chat is like f'n through a blanket.
A Forum can Improve a Vision.
My goal is to start with a premise, than have others contribute feedback through their own life experiences, or commotion.
Either the original premise still holds, or a newer, "better" premise can be created.
The original topic posts may be misunderstood If intelligent feedback is not provided. The first few follow-up posts are crucial to a topic post having real value to anyone who reads the posts days later.
I call that teamwork between people who never meet, but share a desire to "max out their minds."
Teamwork is something generally not on the minds of most people who meet in a Social Setting, so, I value more, a meeting of the minds on the internet, than a meeting of people who already have "mapped out" their enounter even before it has happened.
