Since most terrorists require fake ID"s to operate, shouldn't one conclude that ANYONE who helps support the fake ID industry is helping to fund a mechanism vital to terrorism?

there's a phrase that i've come to truly dispise of late and that is UNAMERICAN. If AMERICANS are doing it, then there is no such thing as UNAMERICAN.
(It's like unethical. You can't describe someone's actions as unethical because ethics is a person's system of thought and way of decision so there is no such thing as a wrong thought as such.) --->my philo teacher can explain it better.

that would be an interesting debate. Pehaps you philo teacher is too busy to talk out outside of the "box" (their classroom), but I would like to hear this explained.
I will agree that situational ethics can obfuscate ethics as in an "ethical standard", but not always.

as it is true that there are no absolutes (even in ethics), it is decidedly true that while living under a pre-determined course of action/behavior/consequence, a person is obligated to abide.
