A serious post...
It seems like those 'ol highways get longer the more you drive 'em. Seems there aint no end in sight sometimes. It happened to me last month. It would have been best to sleep, but I couldnt really afford to rest. I had a ride in Denver just the next night.
Just before I made it to Colorado I called my house, but no one answered. For about the past 2 weeks no one had been home. I guess she is through with me. To tell the truth I dont know what kept her hanging on this long.
A worn out tape of Chris Ledoux, lonely women and bad booze seem to be the only friends I got left at all.
God bless Chris Ledoux. Lord, I'm much to young to fill this damn old.
