Do emotions - specifically "true happiness" or "happiness" exhist?
what do ya think and why.

I would argue that they do not E-X-I-S-T, and that they are mearly electron impulses that society has told us make us feel certain ways, and it's in our interpretation of what society is taught us that these "emotions" come about. They don't EXIST, they're simply a name given to an impulse that's born through society.

Emotions exist, unfortunately. but true happiness is a front for what people lack to see is wrong, or has gone wrong. Think of the postive only; hardly. Fail to deal with whats really happening; completely. Emotions - who needs them.

of course emotions don't exist!
in fact, everytime i hear someone talking about them, i get angry or upset, but then i fear that i am not being rational. i then feel sad about the lack of control that i have, but then i read some inspirational quotes from a book that i have and feel happy again.

This is exactly the point with emotions HoneyBAll. 'Half-true' equals 'half-false', right? 'Totally true' evades reason. Emotions are indeed elaborated through certain social structures, nevertheless they form upon the mystical (yes, mystical) interconnection between reality and incorporeality.
(Yet, there are people who argue this, and claim that Absolute truth exists...)

there is nothing mystical about emotions I would venture to post. I would imagine given the right social structure from birth, one could be taught that anger is good, happy is bad, etc. etc... which means that they do not exist, and are mearly products of the environment.

IF...given the right circumstances, one could be led to believe that anger is good...
this is true...to an extent. anger has positive and negative qualities in that the value of the emotion also creates a certain value of effect, and thusly, a certain value in (reciprical) action.
(just ask any american)
but these are merely properties of that which you are claiming does not exist, hanny.
