Tuesday Afternoon

-Sun bright, no moon on high
That part I really dug.
The poem as a whole I embraced with a definate liking. It's awesome. I really liked the way it flowed, gave the idea of what you wanted, a play by play of what was, and how it wasn't quite what you wished. Or at least that's what I got from it. I really dug it, awesome. *nods* A definately striking work!

well worked and altogether a good good piece. i like the ending,

"and yet all I get is a saturday night
not a tuesday afternoon"

nice.

Ask more than a saturday night,
more than play time and baseball on tv,
Ask of me to see my view
on why the earth is round,
ask of me a tuesday afternoon
to sit in society on the ground-
or maybe even a thursday:
conversations in the park,
no couch, no attempted attention,
background noise to listen,
think of me inwardly
reasons why u sit here-
on this tuesday afternoon,
sun bright, no moon on high
knowing whats on your mind-
such a thing can be answered
more easily for you
so why am i the one you call
saturday night at two,
Tell me the corners of your mind
Tell me something no one has heard
trust my will is truthful
no deceit, no bars to hold
i ask less of you, then you of me
and yet all i get is a saturday night
not a tuesday afternoon.
