He's in Montreal on Feb 17th, but unfortunately I can't make it (giggin') so if anybody could post a review that would be great. He's really in my top 5 favourite musician. I saw him in 2000 at Montreal jazz fest and it was fabulous. Arturo is not only a virtuso trumpeter, but an awesome pianist and scat singer and a killer latin percussionist.
I emailed him a couple weeks ago to know who was his touring drummer but haven't received an answer yet. Whoever he gets is gonna smoke.
But if I find out Negro got the gig, I'll definitely need a sub...
