I've been thinking about this question a lot lately.
I guess companionship with others who have similar interests and a place where you feel you fit in (hope that makes sense). This place is *the one* even though I frequent a few boards.
I know I'm past wasting my time on arguments and hostility, however, I love a healthy discussion.

I'm with you Barb although, for me, it's not so much about Darren; it's more about the ppl that I've 'met' through a mutual liking/admiration for him.
This place is certainly the best of the bunch, in-so-far that we can and do encourage healthy discussion and don't expect ppl to be mindless automatons, unlike some other boards that I could mention [img]wink.gif[/img] lol

Yes for me it was my love of Darren's music/voice that sent me to the boards in the first place, but it's the ppl that draw me here in particular!
Not to mention the continuing education I receive here [img]wink.gif[/img]

Darren is what drew me in initially to want to post on the DH BBS, but as that place is practically dead now, then I come here and the DDD board and F/C board for friendship, especially so here and on the DDD board. If I didn't know any of you I wouldn't bother coming onto any messageboards half so much.
I like hearing your news and gossip almost more than any Darren related news/stuff and to have fun [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Initially it was Darren's music that brought me to the DHBBS but in the end its the great people.
The sad thing is I'm not missing not being able to acsess sony because all the people I like and care about come here.
We are so lucky to have a place to come share our feeling and thoughts with people who are just fantastic. I really mean that [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Same for me really - I came to the BBS's originally to chat and learn more about Savage Garden and then Darren. But although I still use the boards for Darren-related stuff, esp as I enjoy doing a bit of fan promotion, the main purpose now is just to hang out with friends. [img]smile.gif[/img]

LOL, sometimes I wonder, a figment of my imagination or whoever I want him to be, because truthfully I have no idea!
I am definitely seeking to find places where I talk to, and hopefully get to know people who understand how I feel about Darren and his music. I've found that with some people I gotten to know a little better, I have so much more in common than being a fan- I think that's a wonderful thing.
