Yeah, turns out my fuel pressure w/o vac line was about 70 at idle! I quickly bought a B&M Mechanical Fuel Pressure Gauge and adjusted it to 40 psi with vacuum and it runs like perfect now. The idle isn't low anymore and I noticed a definate increase in power. Just like to share this with everyone.

So you just lowered the fuel pressure with the JR FMU? I noticed my idle is real low, sometimes feels like the car is about to cut off. Just have to install my mech. fuel press. gauge to check it out. Glad to hear you felt a power increase!

I MIGHT still have the underhood B&M gauge if anyone is interested. I don't have the other fittings though just the gauge since I never installed it. If you're interested e-mail and I'll try to look for it.

You can get the gauge cheap, but the trick is finding that banjo bolt for the fuel filter. The only way to get that (it seems) is to buy the B&M. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
The other option is to tap into a fuel line somewhere, but at the pressures that a lot of the JRSC guys are running, it makes me nervous to do that.

As i mentioned, i have a mech.(Autometer)fuel pressure gauge. Do i mount this near the fuel filter? I bought the 3' braided fuel line with it, but i don't think i need it.
Tom, are you getting any detonation after lowering your fuel pressure? I think you said you upped the timing from like 6 to 10btc.

I tapped into the fuel line between the filter and fuel rail to mount a sender unit and have never had any problems with it.

Yeah I saw a gauge that looked pretty high quality and it was liquid filled (vibration resistance) for $22 at the shop I got my B&M but it didnt come with the banjo bolt. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
