Just wanted to see if you guys know about him. Just got one of his solo CD's called Iyabo. He has another called Live and Rhythm that I can't find yet.
He's basically a cross between Vinnie, Weckl and El Negro. He played with Gonzalo Rubalcaba after Horacio. (I think)
anyway, I'm REALLY impressed. Wanted to see if anyone else had more info. My roommate actually told me about him. Said he saw him here in LA a number of years ago with Gonzalo and that it was great.

I dug the clip as well! Sometimes this groove can lose me at the wrong tempo. He has a tight...loose feel about him. He's crisp but let's the groove breath a lot making it enjoyable to hear.

I listened to the solo by Bissonette as well, and I liked it a lot.
