I know there are some who want anyone but Bush come November, but I'm really wondering if any of you Kerry supporters can tell me what he stands for?
We all know that he was in Vietnam. What else is there to his campaign?
Seriously. No flaming. No insults.

Because he's not trying to alter the Constitution because he happens to be suffering in the polls.
Because he doesn't take his directives directly from God.
Because he can speak the native language.
Those are several big ones for a start.

Your response is the reason I posed the question in the first place. What I hear about Kerry is mostly that he's not Bush. But nothing about Kerry or his positions.

I'm asking Kerry supporters to tell me about him, and all you can do is bash Bush.
What does he stand for? What is his direction for the country?
I think reason was referencing W's desire to have a constitutional ammendmant against homosexual marriage.
I honestly can't think of a single redeeming thing about Kerry. But I'm gonna vote for him. [img]frown.gif[/img]

Also wondering if this board can have a civil political discussion.
I just have serious misgivings about whose running the show at 1600 pennslyvania ave. Call it a gut instinct but I don't think W or his crew really have clue one about what they're doing. The only one I halfway trust is Powell.
I have REALLY serious misgivings about the war in Iraq. I feel like it was the right war at the wrong time.
I disagree with Bush's tax cuts only because he hasn't decreased spending to go along with them. He's put our country into debt not seen since Reagan. But without the benefits that Reagan saw.
Those are just a couple of my issues....

Because as we all know, inserting discrimination into the Constitution should be #1 on everyone's list!
Let's simplify this for gae:
Bush = For Constitutional Amendment
Kerry = Against Constitutional Amendment
That good enough? Is that bashing? No it is not.
And if you think this is a "gay" thing, it isn't. It's about protecting our Constitution against someone willing to corrupt it in order to win an election.
If we allow someone to corrupt the foundation of this country for political means, we are all in trouble.
Serious stuff. Is that good enough?

While there's certainly a huge "Anyone But Bush" sentiment, there are differences between the two.
