Exhaust Opinions

Did you used to have the 2.25" Thermal or the 3.0" thermal exhaust? I'm just curious because I've got the 2.25" and think it sounds great.

I have the Greddy and I'm pretty happy with it. A guy used to know had a DC sports exhaust on his car and the muffler was completely rusted.

I'm buying the Greddy EVO exhaust. I heard its sound is deep and doesn't drone. The tip is also conservative, hmmmm...a greddy first? The exhaust can is also made to clear lowered cars, no more rubbing on speed bumps. There is a group buy going on at the groupbuycenter.

Anyone know if the RSR for the 2Dr GSR can be easily modded to fit a 4Dr GSR?

I have a 96 GSR 4 dr too. I have Greddy BL for over a year. I'm satisfied with that. The sound is low and smooth. not loud. I can't stand too lound too. I think Greddy will yeild a little bit more power than DC's.

Anyone thought of the Tanabe G Medallion for 4 Dr's? Mine is great, sound at idle and low rpm's is sweet and top side it growls http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/cool.gif

13.24 on a smokin' motor can't be bad!?!

I have been through this once and decided on the RSR only to find they don't make it for the 4-DR now, DOH!

So I'm torn between DC and Greddy. DC cause it's all SS, and Greddy cause it's GREDDY.

I know the Thermal unit is possibly better for our application but I had one on a NA G2 Teg and can't handle the noise.

So what's my best bet? One of these two or ???

I can only speak for GReddy. I have had two of their exhausts. I had the Trust BL/GReddy SP and I really liked the sound produced. It's chrome was really nice too. I have the GReddy PE now and like it as well.

I say go for the Tanabe also, have had mine since Nov 1997, and it still shines really nice. You can easily modify a 2dr exhaust for the 4dr, all you have to do is add a piece of piping about 3 or 4 inches I believe. My friend did this for his 4 dr gsr and his exhaust fits fine.

I'll say DC because I'm using one right now. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif It's all stainless and it will outlast Greddy in winter with all the snow and salt. The tip is 4" whereas the EVO is 4.5". 4.5" tip is too big for the Teg IMHO.
