Okay, after this last 2 week outage, I have officially decided that the Monument will soon no longer be on Hostboard.
I have bought www.bamf.us for 2 full years. I am working on the board, and it should be up by Wednesday night...
Hsu, if you could give me your buddy's contact info so i could ask him if I have troubles, that'd be great.

It was an unfortunate outage that caught us by surprise. Failed hardware that was new out of the box that corupted the OS requiring a complete rebuild from scratch. We did the best we could and the decision to re-build was tuff as we knew decisions like yours were going to be made. Sorry we could not avoid the issue but we have even more hardware and new policies in place to try and avoid issues like this in the future.

Well, Quick, the decision certainly did not come lightly. We've been talking of moving for MONTHS now. The thread where we all voted as to what to do about the constant outages was lost in the rebuild. It was nearly unanimous in the vote to move.
My decision to move comes from the decision of many of my posters to stop coming here. Each time Hostboard goes down, I lose some posters. It's come down to where a lot of the founding members of this place never come anymore.
We've been here for a year and a half. It was our home. But when you come home to find yourself locked out all the time...you move away. And that's what we feel we need to do. Thanks for the 18 months of hosting and I hope things go better for you.
Not sure what became of nightcrawler.info...but we have bamf.us for two years now anyway...No, you don't need to help me out with paying for it...it's my baby, I'll support it. :-D
Yikes, UC, how much did you have to pay for that? Should we take up a collection to help you out?
Whatever did happen to nightcrawler.info? I know Foxdie became a, urm, furry and left, but I thought he paid for that domain for a year or so? Just wondering...
