Later this year, I'm looking to buy a DV camera and firewire card to use exclusively for telecine transfers. I'll be using a Moviestuff Video Cinemate 20 for transfers. This is what I'm looking for in the camera:
1. Firewire card included
2. At least 500 lines resolution
3. Manual control over exposure,
F-stops, iris, white-balance, etc.
4. 12X zoom lens or better (preferably better)
5. Ideal Price range: $800 to $1600 (Unrealistic?)
As far as computer hardware, I'm using a Pentium IV running 1.8 Ghz, 512 megs of ram, Windows XP, and 64 meg Nvidia GeForce 400 graphics card. I use Asymetrix Digital Video Producer 5.0 and MGI Videowave II SE Plus for video editing.
Any comments/advice appreciated.
